The Scavengers

Test_web2.jpg

In Hong Kong, today, many elderly people are left alone, abandoned by their families, with insufficient retirement to cover their vital needs and expenses: rent, food or medical expenses. The state, totally resigned to an aging population, does not help them. To meet their needs, they collect all day long paper, cardboard, sagex or aluminum cans, to sell them by the kilo at a derisory price. These old people, forgotten by all, are named "the scavengers".
